I spent 2 months as a videographer for Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life. Here’s a collection of the videos I shot and edited.
Slow-mo Promo
I shot and edited this piece in between rehearsals. I pitched the video to Cirque and they decided to use it. It was cut down to a 1-minute version and posted on Cirque’s Twitter.
Old Mill Choreography
This features the performers in the Old Mill act learning some choreography during rehearsals. I shot and edited this from footage I shot to send to press.
Wall Signing
Cirque painted a wall backstage black for the cast and crew to sign it. I documented it and cut together this video.
Flag Raising
When every Cirque du Soleil show is opened, they raise the official show flag and they remain until the show closes. I had the chance to document the flag raising, and it was posted here. Other videos made by me can be seen here and here.
Press Conference
I shot and edited video for a 2-hour press conference promoting the show. This is just a minute of the footage I shot. This was my first assignment for Cirque that wasn’t documenting rehearsal, and I did well enough to expand my job and get more projects.
